Veganism is not all about vegetarian diet. It is a theory which believes that harming animals in any form is sinful and so Veganism is entirely detached from animal products. But the basic difference between Veganism and vegetarianism is that the latter is restricted only to diet while Veganism is not only about the diet, but the lifestyle in totality which saves itself from the very touch of animal products.

If you want to become a practitioner of Veganism, you must practise a lot of restraint. To some extent there is similarity between a vegan diet and a vegetarian diet. But a vegan diet is more restrictive having no animal trace not even in the form of flavour. So a vegan diet consists of only fruits and vegetables.
A meagre vegan diet comprises fruit juice, salad and other products which are not made of any animal product. Vegan diet avoids all kind of flavours as a number of animal source are generally found in the foods, so all dairy products are kept out of an ideal vegan diet.
But the recent development is that a number of non veg and dairy products are being made without any trace of animal part. These are essentially included to the vegan diet.
A continuous practice of vegan diet may result in some serious protein deficiency. So it is mandatory to include plant protein in a large amount to the vegan diet.
Clothing
Veganism, as already explained, does not stop at the diet only. It extends to the clothing and accessories too. Most of the vegetarians do not consider what they are wearing or what they are carrying. But Veganism preaches that you cannot wear something made of leather or wool.
You can not carry a leather bag. Even for the shoes too, your choices are limited. But there are a number of brands coming up which specialize only in vegan products.
The practise of Veganism imposes restraint on the use of household products too. But it has been observed that vegan diet is more popular than Veganism in general. Many people follow vegan diet for health purpose yet Veganism has not been well adopted by them. People often follow a vegan diet for religious purpose too.
Following a vegan diet is not that easy.
You can not relinquish all non veg items all of a sudden. Proceed step by step. Introduce one vegan meal during a day and then spread it gradually.
